OK, it's been quite awhile since I've blogged. It just seems like one event right after the other. June consisted of grad parties, weddings, etc. July has been fun in the sun, trips to the MN zoo, and visits from cousins. This weekend coming mommy gets to take off for a scrapbooking getaway in Pequot Lakes for some fun with the girls. So I'm excited!
The trip to the zoo was a lot of fun. We stayed with some friends of ours that live pretty close to it. They have two little ones too so we try to get together a couple times a year with definate plans and have some fun with them. The kids favorite part was feeding the goats (which we can do at home since some of our friends own goats), the prairie dogs, and the water fountain at the end. They ran through it & soaked themselves & giggled. Karlie did get er face painted (about 10 min waiting) had it on about 5 min and decided she didn't want it & smeared it off. My mom asked Karlie how she liked the zoo and she told them all about the fountain (not a thing mentioned about the animals). Oh, well, we had a blast anyway!
Last week Adam's mom, sister Holly and her little boy Nathan got to come & stay with us. I miss them already. The boys got up early most morning so Auntie Holly would put in a music DVD for them to watch (so the rest of the house could sleep). Nathan always sat so nice & quiet to watch, and Tanner would watch for a bit, then dance, then run off. The boys were pretty cute with each other. They would circle each other & look each other up & down, but not really come in contact with each other (kind of a hmmmm, there's another little person here like me), and not really sure what to do with each other. Until the last few days they got braver. One day Nathan grabbed a water from Tanner and ran like you wouldn't believe as Tanner tried to chase him. It was hilarious! Karlie had no problem sharing with cousin Baby Nathan (as she called him), but brother was a different story. We had a BBQ at our place so Holly could see everyone, about 40+ people. So much fun visiting and seeing everyone.
What a great summer so far!
